The Yeats Society, Sligo are hosting an online event this evening marking the centenary of ‘The Second Coming’ poem.
This month marks the 100th anniversary of W.B. Yeats’s poem which was first published in the United States.
An online event in conjunction with the National Library is taking place this evening from 7pm which will be broadcast live from the Yeats Society website and Facebook.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Director of the Yeats Society Sligo, Susan O’Keefe, says the poem seems to have resonated with people over the last 100 years.
