Additional funding has been secured for safety works in the village of Ballintogher.
Earlier this year €25,000 was allocated for speed ramps in the Village.
A raised pedestrian crossing was installed at St Teresa`s Church and a speed ramp installed coming into the village from the Dromahair side.
Cllr. Thomas Walsh has now confirmed that funding has been allocated for road resurfacing on the R287 and for installation of an additional speed ramp on entry to the village close to the enterprise units.
Speaking earlier to OCEAN FM Cllr Walsh says the work is expected to commence at the beginning of next year
