Latest Uk vote on Brexit withdrawal agreement



The House of Lords has voted to remove parts of the UK government’s Brexit legislation that would break international law and undermine the withdrawal agreement.

 

If talks between the UK and EU succeed though – many say the Internal Markets Bill would be redundant anyway.

 

Downing Street claims it provides a ‘vital safety net’ – designed to protect the Northern Irish peace process.

 

Senior conservative member of the House of Lords, Kenneth Clarke made his opposition to it clear.
