Farmers still concerned about situation at marts



The issue of online mart sales continues to be of the most hotly debated agricultural topics this week.

With Marts allowed to sell cattle only online due to the Level 5 restrictions, farmers are fearing that animals will be held back, resulting in a reduction in supply and adding pressure to fodder reserves.

There are also claims of buyers bidding in cartels and this too has led to fears among farmers that prices will be impacted.
