Sligo hurlers bow out of Christy Ring Cup



The Sligo senior hurlers have been knocked out of the Christy Ring Cup after their three point loss to Roscommon in Athleague.

In a tight affair, Roscommon ran out winners on a scoreline of 0-20 to 0-17.

Gerard O’Kelly Lynch continued his run of form for Sligo this season scoring 0-12, 0-11 from placed balls.

It was Sligo’s first ever Christy Ring Cup game.

Despite being without nine of the county’s Nicky Rackard Cup winning squad, and fielding championship debutants, Sligo pushed their opponents all the way before coming up short by three points.
