Three north west students receive third level scholarship worth €20,000 each

Three students in the north west have received scholarships worth €20,000 from the Naughton Foundation.

35 students around the country were awarded third level scholarships for their studies in areas such as engineering, science, technology and maths.

Conor McCrossan from St. Columba’s Comprehensive School in Glenties, Co. Donegal, Tommy Seery from St Clare’s Comprehensive, Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim and Niall O’Donovan from Summerhill College, Sligo are among this years recipients.

The Naughton Foundation was established in 2008 and has awarded more than €4m to over 300 students.

The awards are usually handed out in a ceremony by the founders, Dr Martin Naughton and his wife Carmel, but had to be deferred this year due to ongoing restrictions.
