14 Day incidence rates published for local region



The Health Protection Surveillance Centre have published the latest set of 14 day incidence figures for the local electoral areas in the Counties of Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal.

 

 

The figures were compiled between October 20th and November 2nd.

 

 

The Rate per 100,000 head of population is 228.0

 

Two local electoral areas returned rates above that figure.

 

 

Sligo/ Drumcliff registered a figure of 260.3 which was 46 cases while the figure for Sligo/ Strandhill was 426.0 (90 cases).

 

 

All other local electoral areas were below 228.0. There were 14 cases recorded over the 14 days in Manorhamilton which resulted in a figure of 129.4

 

34 cases were recorded in Donegal and the figure from here is 128.3 the lowest of all the local electoral areas in this region.

 

 

There were 53 cases reported in the Ballymote/ Tubbercurry area which resulted in a figure of 198.3

 

Elsewhere in Leitrim 44 cases were recorded in the Carrick-on-Shannon local electoral area and 9 in the Ballinamore electoral area.

 

Buncrana in Donegal is the local electoral area with the highest Covid-19 14-day incidence rate in the country.

The area has a rate of 594 cases per 100,000 up until Monday night.
