Covid-19 restrictions and their impact on people meeting and talking have resulted in a lack of awareness about options that are now being proposed for a new N17 route between Knock and Collooney.
That’s according to a former Sligo councillor from the area who says he is surprised at the lack of public comment on this issue from local politicians.
Keith Henry says people have until January 15th to make submissions on the proposed route options.
He adds local people should look at the maps, talk with their neighbours and have their say.
