Donegal rowing duo reach Grand Finals

Donegal Bay Rowing Club duo Luke Keaney and Rosy Temple qualified in fourth place in their heat of mixed doubles on the opening day of competition at the European Coastal Challenge in Italy.

Their time of 33.14 secs saw them qualify directly for Sunday’s grand finals.

Keaney, who was part of the Donegal All-Ireland final squad of 2014, had to hang up his gaelic football boots at the age of 24 because of injury.

Patrick Boomer from Loughros Point Rowing Club in Ardara finished 6th in his heat of men’s  singles also qualifying for Sunday’s finals.
