Intensified trade negotiations between the EU and UK will begin later today.
The UK agreed to resume talks after the EU’s Chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier said compromises were necessary on both sides.
Discussions will take place daily in an effort to bridge the main stumbling block, which include some of the key Brexit issues concerning the North West – fishing rights and state aid for businesses.
