Fourteen day incidence rate published for local electorate areas



The Health Protection Surveillance Centre have confirmed in their latest figures 3 additional deaths and 1205 new cases of Covid-19.

50 new cases were confirmed for Donegal, 24 for Sligo and 7 in Leitrim.

 

The 14 day incidence rate for the various local electorate areas have also been published.  The data was recorded between September 29th and October 12th.

 

The Local electorate area with the highest 14 day incidence rate in this region is Sligo/ Strandhill, while the lowest is Ballymote/Tubbercurry.

 

78 cases were recorded in the Donegal electorate area with a 14 day incidence rate of 294.4.

 

10 cases were recorded in the Manorhamilton local electorate area giving it an incidence rate of 92.4

 

 

In Sligo the Sligo/ Strandhill local electorate area recorded 63 cases in the 14 day period and registered a 14 day incidence rate of 298.2 which is the highest in Ocean FM franchise area.

 

 

There were 35 reported cases in Sligo/Drumcliff and an incidence rate of 198, while the lowest number of cases in the County, 23, were recorded in the Ballymote/ Tubbercurry electorate local election area. The 14 day incidence rate here was 86
