More Counties in danger of moving to level four



In the latest figures released by The Health Protection Surveillance Centre there were 5 Covid-19 related deaths and 1,095 new cases in the Republic of Ireland.

 

The number of new cases thankfully have dropped in Donegal despite the County being placed under level 4 restrictions. According to the latest figures 29 new cases were reported in Donegal and 14 in Sligo.  The number of cases in Leitrim was less than five.

 

The 14 day incidence rate for the respective counties now puts Donegal at 353.7, Sligo at 207.5 and Leitrim at 146.7

 

Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has warned that other counties may be placed under level 4 restrictions:
