Gardai seek info after stolen bullocks found 30km away



Gardaí have recovered six cattle which were stolen from lands in County Mayo.

The six Charolais cross bullocks were taken from a field at Knocknageehe, near Shrule, on October 5.

Four days later, they were located more than 30km away on lands close to Balla.

Gardaí in Claremorris are appealing to anyone who may have observed transport vehicles in the vicinity of Shrule between 5pm on October 5 and 4pm on October 6 or at Balla on the evening of Friday October 9 to make contact with them.

Gardaí are also seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the individuals responsible for this theft.

Anyone who noticed transportation of livestock in these areas on the relevant dates, are asked to come forward.
