Gray’s anatomy: Sligo writer’s story among collection to benefit LauraLynn children’s hospice



A Sligo author’s short story is among a unique collection by writers from throughout the country to be published in book form on October 29th . . with all proceeds going to the LauraLynn children’s hospice.

Entitled ‘A Page from My Life,’ the collection of 150 stories came from listeners of RTE Radio 1’s Ray D’Arcy Show.

During the Covid crisis, Ray invited his audience to send in 500 words on a memorable event or story they felt was worth sharing.

More than 2,500 people, of all ages and from all walks of life, responded.

Among the 150 entries chosen for inclusion in the book was a story entitled ‘A Wee Problem’ by one of Sligo’s best-known journalists, the veteran reporter and former Sligo Champion editor Jim Gray:
