The Status Yellow rainfall warning for Sligo, Leitrim and Donegal has been extended until 6am Monday morning.
Met Eireann are predicting heavy and persistent rain all day today and into the early hours of tomorrow.
The forecaster says it could lead to river banks bursting and spot flooding in places.
While a separate wind warning for Sligo and Donegal remains until 9pm tonight.
