Weather Warning in place for the North West



Two Weather warnings have been issued for the north west.

 

In total Met Éireann has issued three separate weather warnings affecting 14 counties across Ireland.

All three warnings were issued earlier this morning (Saturday).

The first is a Status Yellow wind warning for Donegal, Mayo and Sligo which comes into effect at 6am on Sunday morning and is valid until 9pm on Sunday night.

Met Éireann warned of northwest winds strengthening on Sunday with mean wind speeds of 50 to 65 km/h and gusts of 90 to 100 km/h.

The second warning is a Status Yellow rainfall warning for Leitrim, Sligo, Donegal, Kildare, Laois, Longford, Wicklow, Offaly, Westmeath, Cavan, and  Mayo.

 

The warning is valid from 7am on Sunday morning until 11pm on Sunday
