Funding announced for a number of north west libraries



A number of Libraries Throughout through the North West will receive over 250,000 euro for essential upgrades and measures in response to Covid-19

 

This funding will be matched by local authorities.

 

€128,900 will be Provided for A New Extension at Enniscrone Library.

 

In Manorhamilton €25,230.42 is being provided to supply and fit out of mobile shelving units. The library in Manorhamilton along with those in Ballinamore and Carrick-on-Shannon will receive €7,782.50 to fund new Perspex.

Meanwhile in Drumshanbo, €26,436.25 is going towards the cost of new gutters, painting, and doors.

 

At Bundoran Library €14,145 has been allocated towards the cost of painting the building.

 

Minister for State at the Department for Health and Sligo Leitrim TD Frank Feighan. Says that Libraries play a huge role in the communities and this funding will enable them to stay open during the pandemic.
