A Sligo councillor says it’s vital that space is available for the Strandhill community within the proposed new National Surf Centre of Excellence in the seaside village.
Sligo County Council has received tenders for the project and they are currently being reviewed.
Fine Gael Councillor Sinead Maguire sought an update on progress on the project at a recent meeting of councillors from the Sligo Borough District.
Afterwards, she told Ocean FM News she is keen, anxious, and determined that the Strandhill community will be catered for in the new Surf Centre.
