Beef Task Force fails to pass Bord Bia PGI scheme



Following yesterday’s Beef Taskforce meeting, a leading Sligo farm official claims that there is still a long way to go before farmers will be happy with the Bord Bia PGI scheme.

 

It’s understood that some important changes have been proposed in the document, as well as a specific commitment to develop and promote a suckler brand.

 

Various farming groups will consider the proposals, but it’s understood that they still have a number of concerns.
