A man has died following a two car crash in Sligo yesterday.
The man in his 40’s lost his life following the collision on the N15 close to Rathcormack at approximately 11.50 yesterday morning.
He was a passenger in one of the cars involved in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman in here 30’s, believed to be the driver of the car was airlifted from the scene and taken to hospital where her condition has been described as serious.
Both passengers from the second car involved were also removed to Hospital with serious conditions.
The road was closed for a forensic investigation. Gardai are appealing for anybody with information to contact them, in particular they would like to speak to any road users who were travelling on the N15 between Sligo and Rathcormack between 11.30am and 12.15pm yesterday morning to contact them. Anyone who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) should make it available Gardaí.
