Leitrim SFC and IFC finalists decided

St Mary’s have booked their place in the Connaught Gold SFC final after their 2-14 to 0-13 win over holders Glencar/Manorhamilton.

Mary’s went into half time with a six point lead, 0-8 to 0-2, hitting the net twice in the second half to secure their victory.

After losing their first two championship games, Dennis Connerton’s side managed to turn their season around and now meet Mohill in the county final.

Mohill saw off Fenagh St Caillin’s with six points to spare, 1-16 to 2-7.

Cathal Mullaney spoke to Glencar/Manorhamilton manager Sean Boylan after the game:

In the day’s other game, Gortletteragh beat Dromahair St Pat’s in a thrilling encounter after extra time, 4-18 to 2-14.

Dromahair goaled late on in normal time to secure the draw, but only managed to add on a point in extra time. Gortletteragh were ruthless in extra time with a goal straight after the restart, hitting the net twice more.

Gortletteragh now meet Annaduff in the Smith Monumental IFC final, after their 4-5 to 2-9 win over Carrigallen.
