Minor ‘A’ success for St Molaise Gaels

St Molaise Gaels Minor manager Mel Casserly believes that the recent underage success in the club is a sign of things to come. Mel spoke to Ocean FM Sport after his side’s Minor ‘A’ Championship final win over Ballymote/Bunninadden.

The game finished 4-18 to 4-11 in favour of the North Sligo outfit, which was the club’s third consecutive Minor ‘A’ final appearance, and their second victory.

Casserly praised fellow coaches Darragh Fallon, Ownie Coyle, Jimmy Langan and Enda Davitt among others who have played key roles in the development of the club’s underage system.

He also agreed that the club’s Intermediate status at adult level allows for a number of young players to come through to the team every year, similar to Curry and Shamrock Gaels in recent years.
