Funding allocated for Castle Dargan Golf Course

Funding has been allocated for upgrade works at Castle Dargan Golf Course.

€190,000 is coming from the Rural Development Programme which will be matched by private investments bringing the total fund to €380,000.

It will mainly go towards improving drainage along the fairways at the Ballygawley course using a technique that will inject sand under the grass.

Local Fine Gael Councillor, Thomas Walsh has been working on getting the funds for over a year and says the works will make the course more accessible during the off season.

Councillor Walsh also highlights a number of other projects that have received funding in the region over the last week.
