The building contract for the construction of 10 new dwellings in Connolly Park, Tubbercurry was signed off on earlier this week at the Council Offices.
The contractor, Brendan Sammon LTD, from Aughnasheelin in county Leitrim is expected to commence construction in the coming weeks, with a completion date expected to be in the region of mid 2021.
The first phase of the development and will see the demolition of 4 vacant units and the construction of 6 x 3 bedroom houses, 3 x 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom townhouse.
Phase two of the project is expected to deliver a further 15 units in 2022.
Local Sligo County Councillor, Paul Taylor says the delivery of this new scheme is excellent news for the local community.
