North West Leaving Cert students respond to calculated grades

Leaving cert students across the North West are celebrating today after achieving record high results in the first ever calculated grades system.

Across all subjects and levels, grades are up an average of 4.4 percentage points on last year.

Around 8 in 10 students received a grade that was either the same or higher than their teachers estimate.

Sean Wynne is the vice Principal of Drumshanbo Vocational School.  He says students in the main are happy with the results they were awarded.
