Concerns raised in relation to new laws on Brexit deal

The Border Communities against Brexit have expressed concerns that new laws are being drawn up to ‘override’ parts of the Brexit deal.

It’s been claimed that the legislation would remove legal force of some parts of the agreement – particularly over Northern Ireland’s borders.

Opposition parties say Boris Johnson’s putting talks with the EU over a trade deal at risk.

Damian McGenity says it would be a huge betrayal of the entire process if the British government try to override parts of the deal in relation to a hard border on the Island of Ireland.
