Parents need more time to secure school bus tickets



A Donegal TD has issued calls for a two-week open period for parents to pay for bus tickets under the school transport scheme.

 

Independent TD, Thomas Pringle has made the calls following representations from a large number of parents who had their payments rejected because they arrived late.

 

Deputy Pringle says this action does not take into account the large number of parents who lost work and wages because of the pandemic, and who had been waiting to learn from the Department what the plans were for school openings and transport before sending payment.

 

 

 

Meanwhile, Labour TD Duncan Smith’s slamming the Education Minister Norma Foley for failing to say when school transport services will be fully operational.
