Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation says penalty points system is ‘scandalous’



The Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation is describing the move by the Taoiseach to sign off on plans to impose penalty points on the industry as ‘scandalous’.

It says it runs contrary to the Programme for Government, which commits to introducing a ‘level playing field.’

Killybegs Fishermen’s Organisation CEO is Sean O’Donoghue.

He says it needs to be changed immediately.
