Golfgate: Kenny says caution needed when politicians and judges mix

An investigation has begun into the attendance of Supreme Court judge Seamus Woulfe at the Oireachtas golf society dinner last week.

The court has set up the inquiry headed by Ms Justice Susan Denham to look at whether the former Attorney General should’ve attended – and when he entered the room with 80 other people should he have left.

Recommendations will be made if needed to the Chief Justice.

Sligo/Leitrim Sinn Fein TD and his party’s Justice spokesperson Martin Kenny says caution is needed when it comes to situations in which politicians and members of the judiciary are mixing.
