An inspiration to the over-70s: Sligo man Jim Lawlor on dealing with Covid-19 restrictions

People over the age of 70 are advised to limit their interactions to a small network, to avoid public transport and shop during designated hours.

All visits to homes will be limited to six people from outside the home, and from no more than three households. This applies to both indoor and outdoor gatherings.

Attendance at indoor events are reduced from 50 to six people BUT weddings and some religious services, such as Mass, are exempt from the new restrictions, meaning they can still take place with up to 50 people.

Jim Lawlor joined us on the North West Today Show to tell us about his experience during lockdown and in dealing with the ongoing measures to combat Covid-19.
