Sports clubs in Donegal and Sligo suspend activities



Four Masters GAA Club in Donegal and Eastern Harps GAA club in Sligo have stopped all club activity as a precautionary measure following club contact with a person who has developed covid symptoms.

Four Masters made the announcement the club’s Social Media platforms this evening.

Donegal Town FC and the local basketball club also made similar announcements on Monday evening.

Donegal Town FC say they’re awaiting the result of a covid test. Their suspension includes astro pitch use (rental) and the clubhouse which are now closed to members and the public.

In Sligo, Eastern Harps have also halted all club activity as a precaution.

The club’s senior men’s footballers are due to play Shamrock Gaels in the championship on Saturday.
