Kenny raises query about Public Service Card applications

A Sligo/Leitrim TD is calling for the Public Services Card service in local Intreo offices to be reopened as soon as possible.

Sinn Fein Deputy Martin Kenny says he has been contacted by people who needed Public Services Card to apply for a free travel pass.

He said these people were told the required photos could not be taken due to Covid-19 restrictions.

However, Deputy Kenny is pointing out that the National Driver Learning Service is providing its service, which includes the taking of photos.

He says there is going to be a backlog of applications for public services cards and the service needs to be resumed as soon as possible.
