North West trio in Ireland Six Nations squad

Riverstown’s Aoife McDermott and the Donegal duo of Laura Feely and Larrisa Muldoon have all been named in the Ireland senior women’s rugby squad for the re-scheduled Six Nations matches against France and Italy in October.

Head Coach Adam Griggs has named a squad of 36 for the games, which were postponed earlier this year due to Covid-19 restrictions.

Prior to that, Ireland had beaten Scotland and Wales in their opening games before suffering a disappointing loss to England.

Ireland will host Italy in their re-scheduled Round 4 fixture on the weekend of October 24th  before concluding the delayed 2020 Championship with an away trip to France on the weekend of October 31st.

The day and kick-off times for both games have still to be confirmed.
