People have been advised not to swim at or near Enniscrone pier following what Irish Water describes as an ‘infrastructure failure’ near the pier.
Irish Water has informed Sligo County Council that the failure could affect water quality near the pier at the seaside resort.
As a precaution, people are advised not to swim until the authorities are satisfied there is no risk to bathers.
It’s hoped the advice will be lifted by Thursday.
