Flood mitigation funding for the Glenaniff and Feorish Rivers



Almost 70,000 euro has been allocated in the form of flood mitigation funding for the Glenaniff River in  Rossinver and the Feorish River in Ballyfarnon.

The funding has been confirmed by Minister for the Office of Public Works, Patrick O’Donovan TD.

€38,384 funding has been approved to Leitrim County Council for work on the Glenaniff River while 31,500 euro will be allocated to Roscommon County Council to carry our works on the Foerish River

The funding will be used to carry out a tree management programme and channel improvements.
