Donegal policing committee to ask again for meeting with Garda Commissioner

Members of Donegal County Joint Policing Committee are to again seek a meeting with Garda Commissioner Drew Harris to discuss a variety of policing issues affecting the county.

They include Brexit, cross-border crime, garda numbers and resources in the county and the reported reorganisation of garda divisions.

The committee sought a meeting with the Commissioner after he took office. However, a motion is again on the agenda for a meeting of the committee due to take place this coming Friday afternoon in the Balor Theatre in Ballybofey.

Committee Chairman Councillor Gerry McMonagle says they are keen to meet the commissioner and to hear from him about issues that particularly affect Donegal.
