Donegal championship fixtures to proceed despite Covid concerns

The defending Donegal senior Football champions, Naomh Conaill are waiting on test results in relation to a potential case of Covid-19.

The Glenties outfit are due to start the defence of their title at home to Milford on Saturday afternoon.

Ocean FM sport understands it’s an underage member of the Club that is being tested this morning.

Whereas Naomh Conaill have suspended all club activity pending the coronavirus test result, their participation in the senior championship will go ahead as planned this weekend.

Ed Byrne is the Donegal GAA County Board assistant secretary and his brief also covers the position of fixtures secretary.

He’s been telling John Lynch that events of the past twenty four hours will not impact the senior championship fixtures this weekend.
