Minister Feighan says greenways would benefit health and well-being

Sligo/Leitrim Fine Gael TD Frank Feighan says he sees cycling and walking on greenways playing an important part in health and well-being, two issues for which he is responsible in his role as a junior minister.

He also says the greenway network is vital for tourism and local businesses as the economy strives to recover in the aftermath of the Covid-19 lockdown.

Minister Feighan pointed out that the Programme for Government has committed to the development of an integrated strategy for greenways to be used by commuters, leisure cyclists and tourists right across the country.
