O Neills Sport and Leisureware in Ballyshannon closes

One of the north west’s longest-established leisure and sportsware outlets is closing.

O Neills in Ballyshannon has been trading for 21 years.

Its shop has been closed for the last four months due to the Covid-19 pandemic restrictions.

A statement on the outlet’s Facebook page says this has had a ‘drastic effect’ on its business and the sports trade in general.

O Neills has thanked all its customers and clubs for their support over the years as well as Colaiste Cholmcille for giving it the opportunity to stock jackets and fleeces, which Slevins in the town will now continue to stock.

Meanwhile, Liam at Mr G has bought O Neills’ stock of schoolbags and school accessories.
