62-year-old Sligoman arrested after €1.2 million cocaine seizure



A 62-year-old Sligo man has appeared in court on drugs charges after cocaine with an estimated value of €1.2 million was found in an air compressor at a business centre in county Meath.

John Reynolds, with an address in Dromard in west Sligo, and Andrew Lawlor from Lucan were arrested following an alleged drugs handover from a lorry to a van at Ashbourne Business Park.

Both men were charged with possession of cocaine with intent to sell or supply.

Reynolds has been remanded in custody to appear before Trim District Court on Thursday.
