Staff from Leitrim County Council are continuing access the damage from by mudslides near Drumkeeran, which were caused by heavy rain over in recent days.
A large of quantity peat slid down the Mountain above the ‘Dawn of Hope Bridge’ which has been covered and extensively damaged.
A large area of farmland has been covered by the peat and a number of roads are blocked in the area.
Sligo Leitrim TD Martin Kenny visited the scene of the landslide earlier this week, his main concern now is for the safety of local residents.
