The newly-elected Cathaoirleach of Sligo County Council wants to see the newly-formed coalition government put its full support behind the SME and tourism sectors in the north west.
Fine Gael Councillor Dara Mulvey takes up the chain of office after being elected ahead of Independent Declan Bree by eleven votes to seven.
Councillor Mulvey says his priorities locally will include the completion of the Lough Talt Water Treatment upgrade scheme, and the N4 and N17 road developments.
But he says he’s also ready to make the big and difficult decisions that Sligo may be facing in the coming months..
