Chambers Ireland reporting a major drop in business activity

It’s emerged that companies which reopened during Phase one of the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions are experiencing less than half of their usual levels of business activity for this time of year.

A survey by Chambers Ireland shows a quarter of firms expect earnings to be 70 percent lower than usual over the next three months.

It highlights the drop in revenue’s being felt strongest by those in the west, border counties and the south east, with smaller operators seeing the biggest reductions.
