A Donegal TD believes now is the time to get hospitals operational again to prevent a further buildup of waiting lists in the coming months.
Fianna Fail TD, Charlie McConalogue, is making the comments after recent figures show a 19.1% increase for those waiting on day and in patient procedures at Letterkenny University Hospital.
He also says there is a total of 190,373 patients waiting for CT Scans, MRIs and ultrasounds nationally as of the end of March.
Speaking to OceanFM News, Deputy McConalogue believes if hospitals aren’t allowed to return to some form of normality, there will be further delays in the months to come.
