People advised not to use inflatables in open water

People in the north west are being reminded to stay safe if around open water this bank holiday weekend.

With forecasts predicting good weather over the next few days, the RNLI and the GAA are issuing the reminder to be vigilant if at the regions beaches.

There are also no lifeguards on duty in Rossnowlagh or Bundoran beaches this weekend.

Volunteer Lifeboat Press Officer with Bundoran RNLI is Shane Smyth.

He tells OceanFM News that people need to look out for each other around the water and advises against using inflatables on open water.
