The World Short-course Swimming Championships – scheduled for this December in Abu Dhabi – have been put back 12 months due to the coronavirus pandemic.
This might have been a potential target for Mona McSharry at the end of the year – but as she and the rest of the worlds elite swimmers will be in a fresh Olympic cycle for Tokyo 2021 – the 25-metre world championships will now take place between 13-18 December next year.
