Local GP says restrictions could be eased locally

The National Public Health Emergency Team is meeting today to consider if Covid-19 restrictions can begin to be eased from next week.

If given the green light, small gatherings of four could take place while golf and tennis would resume.

Latest figures show 10 more people with coronavirus have died here while there are 23,400 confirmed cases.

The number of cases in the North West remains at 675.

Drumshanbo GP Alan Loftus says any easing of restrictions has to be done carefully.
