Minister McHugh to present alternative leaving cert plan to cabinet



Cabinet ministers are set to approve an alternative plan for the Leaving Cert exams this morning.

 

The Education Minister, Donegal TD, Joe McHugh has put together a contingency plan to cancel the Leaving Cert. Minister McHugh will present it to the cabinet later this morning.

 

It’s understood the examinations will be cancelled and replaced with a system of predictive grades.

 

It’s expected an official announcement will be made this afternoon.
