Covid-19 figures increase in the North West



There are now 585 confirmed cases of Covid -19 in the North West.

 

The latest figures released by the National Public Health Emergency Team have confirmed that there are now 431 cases in Donegal, 98 in Sligo and 56 in Leitrim.

 

The figures have increased by fifteen in Donegal and one each in Sligo and Donegal on Wednesday’s figures.

 

 

The criteria for who can be tested for Covid-19 is likely to be broadened later.

 

The National Public Health Emergency Team meets this morning to assess the country’s response to the pandemic, and to consider how any of the current restrictions could be lifted next month.

 

The death toll from Covid-19 has risen to 794, after a further 28 patients died.

 

936 new cases have also been detected 17 of which are in the North West.
