Warnings have been issued to all land owners that are close to afforestation’s to refrain from lighting controlled or gorse fires this weekend.
The recent dry spell of weather has led to increased fears that any fires on mountains or close to forests could get out of control.
The concerns have been raised by Kinlough based Fianna Fáil Councillor Justin Warnock.
